July 8th - Château de Villebois-Lavalette

July 9th and 17th - Château de la Mercerie

Presale at the Tourist Office : before june 20th you can buy tickets at a reduced price (10€ instead of 15€)

In July 2016 "Les Nuits d'Été de Villebois" will celebrate their 10th birthday. The  organisers seized this chance to revisit 10 years of music inside the magical castle of Villebois-Lavalette.

The castle's owner, M. Norbert FRADIN, awaits impatiently for this birthday. We will gather artists who left their mark on the festival's story, between popular music and art music, from medieval to modern music.

On July 8th and 9th you will meet again artists who accompanied us during those 10 years, with two concerts. The first concert is an opera and the second one will transcribe again 10 years of musical theatre (Jazz/Pop music): French songs, Italian, Cuban, Napolitan and American tunes, interpreted by exceptional artists.

In order to strengthen the bonds between our territories, we are glad to perform at the Château de la Mercerie (in the great hall), for the Jazz/Pop music concert and the teenagers concert.

Friday, July 8th at 9:30pm: Opera at the Château de Villebois-Lavalette, in the great vaulted hall

Poulenc, Offenbach, Bizet, Massenet, Verdi, Bellini, Rossini, Donizzetti, Berlioz, Leoncavallo… There are so
many composers whose music used to resonate in the castle's courtyard and in its great vaulted hall. The nine last Nuits d'Été transcribed an actual History of the 19th and 20th century's opera.

With Elisabeth BRUSSELLE and Laurent ARCARO, and the young Soprano Valéria ALTAVER, new voice in the Compagnie de l'Arène's "family".

This concert will also celebrate M. Norbert FRADIN's birthday.

Saturday, July 9th at 9:30: Broadway Rive gauche, at the Château de la Mercerie (in Magnac-Lavalette)

Four singers and four musicians. French songs and Broadway classics, Argentinian tango and Cuban music.

The orchestra will gather around the pianist Marthieu DEBORDES.
